The program was kick-started 1988 by Texas Hall of Fame Coach Don Tullos. The young women who participate in the basketball program dedicate themselves to excellence both on and off the court. We believe success first starts in the heart! The girls strive daily for academic, physical, and basketball excellence. The community of Lovelady is very proud of the dedication and hard work the Lady Lions exhibit year in and year out.
For over 20 years, we have sponsored the annual Thanksgiving Girl's Basketball Tournament. Over the years, we have had teams from more than 10 states compete.
More importantly, we are proud of the dedication and hard work our Lady Lions exhibit year in and year out. Our girls take that drive and determination with them when they graduate and pursue further education and careers.
